About Ann
After years of telling my children “you can do anything you set your mind to,” I decided to put the old adage to the test myself. I had always wanted to be a writer, but had never submitted anything. My husband convinced me to send in Raising a Runner. Unbelievably it was picked up by two separate publications within days of submission. Currently, my column The Athletic Annapolitan is set to launch in two weeks at Greater Annapolis Patch. In addition, I am have a regular column at Eye On Annapolis Several of my essays have appeared in The Washington Running Report, www.Irongirl.com and The Streak – an Annapolis Strider’s publication. I have also been published in the eNewsletters of FitPregnancy.com and TrailRunner Magazine.

Hello Ann,
Just read your “What if” race report. And as someone who will be taking on his first Ironman in June of 2010 and who just experienced his first DNF at mile 16 of the San Francisco Marathon last month I want to thank you for sharing your story. I can’t wait to hear about you finishing a full Ironman and I wish you & your family all the best.
Take care,
Ron
Thank you so much for reading my article. I am glad you liked it. I will definitely finish one in the future. I had this surprise baby so I am waiting until 2012 when he starts Kindergarten. Easier to train that way.
