When Harold Shaw and I started talking about my guest posting at a Veteran Runnah, he asked me to write about what it felt like to “chick” one of those young, cocky bucks on the course. I thought about the times I have chicked a runner and realized that every time it has happened I have used that other runner as a means to an end. I have used them to get me to the finish line when I was just not feeling it. But then, I remembered a time that I started to chick a runner, because I really needed that boost, but to my surprise was pulled into something completely different – a moment to remember. Today, I share that story over at http://aveteranrunnah.com/2013/02/04/to-chick-or-not-to-chick/. Thanks Harold for giving me the chance to share my story with a new audience. I really appreciate the opportunity.
