What In The World Am I Up To?

After receiving a couple of requests for a podcast I decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. This is my first podcast. You can listen here or upload it on iTunes. If you enjoy it, please leave a review and let others know what you think. Right now, because I am new to the game, iTunes does not even recognize me if you put in Ann’s Running Commentary. I do believe that reviews will change that so please do help me if you can.

Now, that that part is out of the way, I want to address my long-time readers because I want to make sure those who have been loyal to me for four years have some idea as to what is happening and why, all of a sudden, I am all over the place – writing, releasing a Kindle and Nook edition of My Thoughts on the Run, creating new content on YouTube and now, starting a podcast. I am not doing this because I expect the same people who have been loyal to my writing to follow me all over the place but because I need to “build a platform.” I need to reach a larger audience. I have a pretty big dream to pursue now.

My husband has been incredibly patient with Ann’s Running Commentary and the fact that I have spent hours and hours developing the site and speaking with runners and triathletes throughout the day for four years. But it is now time to try to really grow. It is time to reach for the stars and try to get my next book published.

I am in the process of creating a book proposal for a book I am really excited about, a book that I believe in with all of my heart and would like to see published by one of the big publishing houses. But to do this I need to reach for the stars. I need to go to them with a bigger audience and show them that my audience is involved and committed to me across several mediums.

So, yes, I am all over the place right now and the truth is I am having fun doing this. I am having fun pushing past my comfort zone, talking in front of a camera is something I never thought I would do. Creating a podcast scared the bejeebers out of me. But I am doing it and I do hope you guys will continue to follow along in whichever format you like the most.

I would love any feedback and any support you might be able to offer. If it is leaving comments on my posts, I will appreciate that. If it is leaving a review on Amazon, I will love that. Retweets and shares and pins on Pinterest, all of those things help me and I really do appreciate every single on of them.

Thank you so much for sticking with me on this journey. It has been a lot of fun so far and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
