Be Positive, Be Supportive, Be a Motivator

Three years ago, I was looking around on Twitter when I came across a video of Coach Jeff Kline. In the video Coach read a letter from another coach to a woman who wanted to hire him to help her achieve her goal of finishing a marathon. Basically this other so-called-coach told the woman in no uncertain terms that she was too fat and too slow for him to waste his time on him. Coach Jeff was absolutely indignant. He couldn’t believe the gall of this man. I was absolutely sold on Jeff’s integrity as a coach because of that video. I hired him the next day and have been working with him ever since.

Over the past couple of years as Jeff has trained me for my Ironman and a handful of shorter distance races I have come to realize that Jeff sees his athletes as so much more than clients. He is a bit of a papa bear for every single member of his team and I love this about him. Today, he shares another story, that goes to show exactly how personally he takes his responsibility to his athletes.

I love this video not just because I love Jeff and what he has done for me. But because he is preaching exactly what I believe, WE CAN DO ANYTHING THAT WE SET OUR MINDS TO DO. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Jeff shouts this from the mountaintop in Estes Park, Colorado and I am sharing that message with you.
